INTRASTAT (Intra EC Trade Statistics)is an external trade statistics collection system for trade between European Union Member States.
Each time that goods move from one Member State to another, the exporter and importer must make an entry in the INTRASTAT report and send it to the Statistical Office at the end of the accounting period.
4U Logistics offers its clients an INTRASTAT report completion service, preparing INTRASTAT reports for clients and submitting them to the Statistical Office.
INTRASTAT reports must be submitted by:
- companies and organisations dealing in EU domestic trade, that are liable to value added tax, whose external trade turnover has exceeded the established statistical threshold during the accounting year or the previous year.
- 2015. In 2015, the statistical threshold for turnover from the dispatching of goods, above which an INTRAST report must be submitted, is EUR 130,000. The reporting requirement begins with the month the threshold is exceeded.
When calculating the reporting requirement, the turnovers from the arrival and dispatching of goods are reviewed separately and the turnover with EU Member States is taken into account. 2015. In 2015, the INTRASTAT statistical threshold for the dispatching of goods is EUR 130,000, and for the arrival of goods EUR 200,000.
